Introduction & Stewardship
What’s one area of your life—time, talent, or treasure—where you’ve found it hard to remember that it belongs to God? Why might that be?
How does recognising everything as God’s gift change the way you think about giving, especially in your current circumstances?
1. The Sacrificial Generosity of the King (vv.1–9)
How does David’s example of sacrificial giving challenge or inspire your own approach to generosity today?
What difference does it make to know that Jesus gave his life to build His church—including us? How might that shape your response to His call in verse 5?
2. The Work of God in People’s Hearts (vv.10–20)
Can you think of a time when you felt prompted by God to give—whether time, money, or energy? What helped you recognise it as His work in your heart?
How might you respond today to God’s invitation to consecrate yourself to His work, as David asks in verse 5?
For further reflection on giving, read 2 Corinthians 8-9
Spend some time praying about the above.
