Did anything strike you from the passage or talk?

Psalm 51:6 says God desires truth in the inner parts. What do you think God sees when He looks beneath the surface of our lives?
2. The Urgency of Grief (vv. 1-12–17)
David and his men respond with deep, immediate grief. What do you imagine the Amalekite was thinking or hoping for? What does that contrast highlight?
When you encounter unbelief, coldness, or failure within the visible church, how do you tend to respond emotionally and spiritually? What might a godly response look like?
3. The safety of fear Unstoppable Kingdom (vv. 13-16)
How would you describe the difference between fear that flows from love for God and fear that flows from guilt or sin? How do you see those different fears shaping people’s lives?
What might it look like, in practice, to live with a healthy fear of displeasing our King, Jesus? How does that challenge or encourage you personally?
Spend some time praying about the above.
