Questions for Growth Groups / Personal Reflection

Read Luke 12:1-12

Did anything strike you from the talk?

What do you fear?

1. Be on guard against hypocrisy (vv.1–3)

Where in my life am I most tempted to appear godly rather than be godly?

How will the fear of verse 2-3to bring that area into the light with honesty and humility?

2. Fear God above all others (vv.4–7)

How does holding together God’s power that isn’t ‘safe’ and His goodness that is utterly trustworthy give us courage when we face hostility for our faith?

3. Stand firm against social fear (vv.8–12)

What will help me stay loyal to Jesus when I feel pressure to fit in?

Is there a recent situation in which you’ve been afraid to stand up to Jesus?

How has this passage encouraged you?  How has it challenged you?

Spend some time praying about the above.
