Did anything strike you from this passage or talk?

1.Contending for the Gospel with unity and courage (1:27-30)

Contending

What does “contending like an athlete” look like in your current ministry or daily life? Where might we be settling for a pedestrian pace in gospel work. How could we step up our energy or commitment?

Unity

What helps us “stand firm in one spirit” as a church family—and what threatens that unity? How can we better support one another in sharing Jesus, especially across different ministries or age groups?

Courage

What fears hold us back from speaking about Jesus—and how does heavenly citizenship speak to those fears?

Can you recall a time when someone’s courage in sharing Christ encouraged or challenged you?

2. Living together in the light of the gospel with love and humility (2:1-4)

How has your experience of God’s grace—His forgiveness, love, or presence—shaped the way you relate to others in the church?

What does it actually mean to treat others in church as more important than yourself—and why is that sometimes hard to do?
